On Top of the Mountain (sort of)

  It is such a good feeling to see the Pinstripes on top.  We are oh and eight against the Red Sox and yet we are on the same perch they are.  The Yankees sweep the seven game season series with the Twins and Mark Teixeira ends his career long home run drought of 23 with a blast in the seventh inning to give the Yankees a two run lead.

This team is finally starting to click.  The pitching is improving, the hitting is clutch and this team is right where they should be……in FIRST PLACE.  Unfortunately after winning 10 of their last 12 now they head to a place where it is so difficult to win, in Anaheim.  The Angels are hurting so hopefully the Yankees can take advantage and end this weekend alone in first place.  Yankees on a roll as they continue the quest for number 27.  The Red Sox finish the weekend with a series at home with the Kansas City Royals.  GO ROYALS, HELP US OUT!!!!
