Let’s Move On

Another disappointing year in the Bronx.  I had to wait until everything sunk in to write this.  I am TIRED of the lackluster seasons.  The New York Yankees tried to use young pitchers this season, and it will NOT work again.  Don’t get me wrong, at the end of the 2007 season they all looked good.  That was then and this is now, missing the playoffs for the first time since 1993.  If you want to point blame, I blame the owners.  I think the first step to the downfall was letting Joe Torre go, look at him now!  Things need to change as we head into the new stadium, we need some new faces in the locker room, but the question is will we shell out the money to bring some quality names in here?  WE BETTER.  The Yanks are shaving 86 million off of the payroll with the like of Jason Giambi and Bobby Abreu not coming back.  Those two make 21 and 16 million respectively.   So much can be done with that kind of money.   AJ Burnett, CC Sabathia just to name a few.  I think the offense is ok we need to shore up our pitching staff.  I sound like a broken record, oh ya be we say that EVERY YEAR.  It gets old after a while.  Now that Brian Cashman has a new deal, we can go out and spend money.  Lets make this offseason a productive one and put a winning product on the field.  Oh and by the way:  GO RAYS!!!!
